Breast Lift Surgery
An operation called a breast lift surgery is carried out by a plastic surgeon to alter the shape of the breasts. A plastic surgeon raises the breasts by removing extra skin and reshaping the breast tissue during a breast lift. The term “mastopexy” also refers to a breast lift.
You might choose to have a breast lift if your breasts sag or your nipples point downward. A breast lift might also boost your self-image and self-confidence.
A breast lift won’t change the size of your breasts. However, a breast lift can be done with breast augmentation or breast reduction.
How Is Breast Lift Performed?
Similar methods and ideas are employed during breast lift surgery as during breast reduction surgery. It solely concerns the modifications made to the breast’s contour, not the reduction of breast tissue.Surgery may also be used to shrink the areola, an enlarged dark-colored region surrounding the nipple.
Depending on the projected form and type of breast, the surgical approach may change. If there is no extra skin, it is typically possible to elevate and enlarge the breast in the case of first-degree sagging without leaving a significant scar by simply inserting a breast implant.
In the case of 2nd and 3rd degree sagging, if there’s also advanced volume loss in breast tissue, it may be necessary to remove excess skin, correct and reshape breast tissue and apply a breast implant.
Who Can Have Breast Lift Operation?
The breast lift age requirement is 18 years old. Every woman who is at least 18 years old, does not have any extra health issues that would preclude the procedure, and has sagging breasts is a candidate for breast lift surgery.
